Eight faculty members from the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences at Iwate University have been recognized in the `Science-wide author databases of standardized citation indicators`. This comprehensive list, updated by Stanford University and Elsevier on September 17, 2024, highlights the top 2% of scientists globally.

The list, based on Scopus – a comprehensive database of abstracts and citations covers scientists globally who have published at least five papers in 22 scientific fields and 174 subfields. It highlights the top 2% of scientists in both single-year and career-long categories.

This achievement highlights the world-class education and research capabilities of Iwate UGAS. Leveraging the human and research resources of our three constituent universities, alongside the unique educational environments they offer, we will continue to blend global and local perspectives. With proper guidance, we aim to nurture our graduate students who will lead the way in creating a sustainable world.
