Ms. Reiko Uenoyama won the First Place in the 2022 AAAS Graduate Student E-poster Competition.
Ms. Reiko Uenoyama, Department of Bioresources Science of the United Graduate School of Agricultural Sciences (Graduate School of Arts and Sciences at the time of the award), won the First Place for the Graduate Student in the Biochemistry and Molecular Biology Division in the E-poster competition at the 2022 AAAS Annual Meeting. This is one of the largest international conference in the United States organized by the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS).
Ms. Uenoyama has been conducting research on the silver vine reaction in the laboratory of Professor Masao Miyazaki, Department of Applied Biochemistry, Faculty of Agriculture, Iwate University.
This achievement is the first time in the past 10 years that a student of university in Japan won the top prize in this contest.
The results of the competition were also introduced in the journal “Science”, issued on March 25, 2022.
